The fm493rs

We currently have nine members in our team. This is our second year of FTC, but we have had prior experience with robotics when we were in FLL. We have been a team for six years totally.

We started of as a team of 5 people, in FLL. Our first FLL season was Trash Trek, and while we had some trouble figuring things out, we learned a lot, and had a lot of fun too!

Our next year, animal allies, we had 9 team members. After learning some things from the previous year, we had a few new ideas about how to organize things. That year, we won the Champions award in the Intel Qualifying Tournament, and we were so excited! We went on to the North California Tournament, and we won the Programming award! Our team worked really hard, and it was astonishing to see how much we improved over a year!

Then, came Hydrodynamics, in which we had 8 team members. We continued where we had left off from Animal Allies, using the same principles, and doing the same challenges. This was the year that we won the Core Values award in the Intel Qualifying Tournament! We also competed in the NorCal Tournament this year.

Our last year in FLL was Into Orbit, when we had 4 team members. This year was really fun, and it was the year that we knew fully what strategies we wanted to do, and how we would split the teams. As the years had gone on, we got to know each other better as a team, and we knew how to work with each other well. We had a lot of fun this year, and although we put in a lot of extra time, it didn't feel like work, because we all enjoyed it. We won the Champions award in the Qualifying Tournament in Intel, and went on to win the Strategy and Innovation award at the NorCal tournament! We had so many wonderful times with FLL, but we decided to move on to FTC for the next year. And here we are!
